It seems as if Moshi Monsters have taken a few short cuts and given us a trimmed down version of Cupcake Cavern. There’s no reason why you would waste your time decorating your cake or even adding any of the optional ingredients – it just doesn’t seem to make any difference at all. The Food Factory has a new device installed – the Cupcake Hut Contraption which appeared in the Factory in June.
Now your Moshlings can have Pizza, Bongo Colada and Cupcakes!
There’s two parts to using the Cupcake Contraption:
The fist thing you need to do is mix the ingredients to make the cupcakes.
If you’ve ever played Cupcake Cavern then you’ll be very familiar with this process and will almost certainly notice more than a couple of similarities.
Hansel will give you some tips at the bottom of the screen.
In order to make your cupcakes you’ll need to add the following ingredients from the shelf on the left:
If you want, you can add any of the following ingredients to you cupcake mixture:
Once you’ve added the ingredients to the bowl you don’t need to do any thing else. The Capcake Contraption will mix it for you. No manual mixing with a spoon here – and unlike Cupcake Cavern, you don’t need to spoon the mixture out onto baking trays and cook it in the oven either.
In fact, we go straight into the decoration screen.
Hmm, this screen a cut down version of the Cupcake Cavern game.
If you want to, you can put different icing on your cupcake (three different styles and 5 different colours – green, blue, pink, white and brown).
You’ve also got six different toppings you can drop onto you cake too, but you can only do this if you’ve put some icing on your cake first.
Once you’ve done – and the key thing to remember here is that decorating your cake seem as if it’s completely optional – click on the “Finish” button.
Really, it’s a bit disappointing. As with the Pizza machine there’s no real challenge to the game.

There’s no reason why you would waste your time decorating your cake or even adding any of the optional ingredients – it just doesn’t seem to make any difference at all. It doesn’t help you earn those Moshling Star Rewards.
The best thing about it it that it’s quick. If you’re just playing the food factory to get your stars then you can at least quickly click through the game.
